There they will discuss forms of musical practices with ubiquitous and mobile\u00a0technologies like smartphones and tablet computers. To facilitate diverse connections between participants\u00a0there will be different kinds of sessions.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>In this article, we will present the different formats of the international Symposium <strong>MOBILE MUSIC IN THE MAKING\u00a02017 <\/strong>of the\u00a0<strong>Research Center for Mobile Music Making &amp; App Music (RCAM)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>first day of the symposium (Friday\u00a010th of March):<\/h4>\n<h3>BarCamp<\/h3>\n<p>The\u00a0symposium starts with a BarCamp on\u00a0<strong>Friday\u00a0(10.03.)<\/strong>. <strong>You are kindly invited to take part with\u00a0an own presentation or discussion. <\/strong>Your BarCamp-Session (<strong>20min<\/strong>) may focus in a practical example or case study, a phenomenon, a problem or a question concerning music making and\/or learning with mobile technologies.\u00a0In the introduction before the BarCamp every participant\u00a0will get the chance to shortly present her\/his theme.<\/p>\n<p>The video gives an insight:<\/p>\n<div class=\"su-youtube su-u-responsive-media-yes\"><iframe width=\"600\" height=\"400\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/xlXqS4h7SUI?autohide=2&autoplay=0&mute=0&controls=1&fs=1&loop=0&modestbranding=0&playlist=&rel=1&showinfo=1&theme=dark&wmode=&playsinline=0\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen allow=\"autoplay; encrypted-media; picture-in-picture\" title=\"\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>Furthermore, the\u00a0BarCamp is a good opportunity to get first impressions\u00a0of the different persons who will held their presentations or sessions on the following day.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>second day of the symposium (Saturday 11th of March):<\/h4>\n<h3>Presentations<\/h3>\n<p>Scientists will give an inside to current research projects on\u00a0<strong>Saturday<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>(11.03.).\u00a0<\/strong>Presenters from Germany an Austria will show empirical research and discursive explanations on learning with mobile technologies. Special about this presentation\u00a0(20min) is their function as a stimulus for further discussions in discussion panels (see below).\u00a0\u00a0<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3>Sessions<\/h3>\n<p>Within sessions on\u00a0<strong>Saturday<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>(11.03.\/ 20min) <\/strong>musicians, app developers and music\u00a0educators will give an insight to their work in\u00a0practice. These sessions include\u00a0experiments and case studies that invite everybody to participate and to discuss.<\/p>\n<h3>Discussion Panels<\/h3>\n<p>The\u00a0discussion panels on\u00a0<strong>Saturday<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>(11.03.\/ 90min)\u00a0<\/strong>aim an intensive discussion of the subjects that are presented in sessions and presentations. Questions and issues are moderated by experts\u00a0in order to get first answers and solutions. Special about the\u00a0discussion panels is that all participants to take an active role in the process of opening an\u00a0interdisciplinary dialog.<\/p>\n<h3>Concerts<\/h3>\n<p>On <strong>Friday evening<\/strong> as well as on <strong>Saturday evening<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0<strong>(10. &amp; 11.03.)\u00a0<\/strong>concerts show the diversity of mobile music making.
