Patrick Schäfer

Patrick Schäfer, musician, teacher, founder and bandleader of the musical formation “iBand-Saar”. The “i” in the band name stands for “inclusion”, the goal of the band. In this, physically handicapped pupils of the “Förderschule am Webersberg in Homburg” together with musicians from the “Kaufmännisches Berufsbildungszentrum Saarbrücken in Halberg” on iPads.

In 2015 he founded the “Appmusik-Studio 1” at the “Förderschule am Webersberg in Homburg”. Since then, in addition to the regular iBand-Saar band rehearsals, further training events for the Landesinstitut für Pädagogik und Medien des Saarlandes (LPM) on the theme of “barrier-free music with apps” are being held in which Patrick Schäfer teaches teachers to play music with mobile devices.
