Heart n Soul is a UK based charity specialising in developing artists with learning disabilities. Heart n Soul takes a completely artist-centered approach to removing barriers that artists can often face in developing their own creative practice. We do this by enabling our artists to experience the joy of achieving their own creative goals and helping them on their journey to make the kind of music they want.

In this session I will give an overview of how Heart n Soul’s approach and ethos enables and empowers people with learning disabilities, both through the creative use of technology and also through collaboration and sharing. I’ll also give examples of our artists who produce and release their own material and playing live on a regular basis.
