In the last ten years we’ve seen enormous brands disappear (such as Nokia and Palm) and whole new categories of device emerge and take centre stage in the world of mobile music making. It’s safe to say that the one constant is change. So the question must be, where will the next big change come from?

In this session I want to look at current trends in mobile music set against the events of the last decade. It will both be a chance to look back at the history, and also to extrapolate into the next decade to explore what might be on the horizon for mobile music creation.
